Begun in 2018, the Personal Librarian program connects subject librarians with undergraduates at the time they declare their majors.  The idea for the program originated in a “Design a Better Library” student workshop, funded by the Wild Bunch Fund. Students who have finalized their majors receive a gift study packet and a customized email from their subject librarian inviting them to take a tour of the library and its resources. Librarians continue to reach out to their mentees over the course of their time at Vanderbilt to make sure they are finding the information they need for that “Aha” moment.  Read more in this MyVU update.
